Recovery Day at the Mariners 2024
Washington Recovery Alliance and King County Recovery Coalition are returning to T-Mobile Park to celebrate recovery together. We invite you to join us at the 4th annual Washington State Recovery Day at the Mariners on Sunday, September 15, 2024.
This year our focus is Connection:the Path to Recovery, and as such, the day’s events will include Recovery Day 2024's hat with our hashtag #TeamRecovery, recovery rally speakers, people in recovery throwing/catching the first pitch, and media stories all highlighting that recovery does happen. Our goal is to increase the public’s awareness and understanding of recovery, as well as reduce stigma and celebrate mental health wellness and substance use recovery.
In previous years 2200-2700 members of the Washington recovery community came out to show that recovery is possible. If you would like to learn more about this event or purchase tickets, please do so by visiting mariners.com/recovery. Please see our flyer for schedule of the day's activities and locations. If you would like to volunteer at the rally, march or pre-event, please fill out this volunteer form. Our RD volunteers will receive a ticket to the Mariners game.
Recovery Day begins with a Recovery Rally in nearby Occidental Square (117 S Washington St, Seattle, WA 98104) with speakers, recovery signs, resources and fun at 10:15am, then we March to the Game led by our favorite emcee, Victor Estrada, with a stop to circle up and say the Serenity Prayer before entering T-Mobile Park and joining the festivities on the Skylevel Concourse. Our T-Mobile Pre-event features an outreach table on the main floor, community resources, the Washington Recovery Helpline, Recovery in Action booths, a photo booth, Meet the Moose, refreshments and our custom Mariners Recovery Day T-shirt. Alcohol-free seating and Kids Run the Bases too. Watch for the Recovery Day First Pitch and our Recovery Video playing on the Jumbotron. Gates open at 11:40am, game begins at 1:10pm.
This year we are planning to have services available for our community at the Occidental Square Rally location. More information about which services here and how you can help coming soon. Subscribe to our King County Recovery Coalition newsletter to stay up to date on Recovery Day opportunities and more.
If you have any questions and/or would like to volunteer please do not hesitate to contact Heather Venegas, Director, King County Recovery Coalition at [email protected].
We hope to see you there!
