Oxford House Winter Clothing for Unhoused Population
Help Us Help Them
Good Samaritan Ministries provides for the emergency needs of low income, veteran, elderly and homeless populations, at-risk individuals and families.
Monday-Thursday 10:45AM-11:45AM Good Samaritan serves lunch in front of their building to neighbors in need. Most of these men and women are homeless.
Oxford House wants to help!
From now through the end of September, Oxford Houses will be working together to collect winter coats, hats, gloves, blankets, and any other winter necessities. If you have any supplies to donate, please contact Payton at 423-353-2989 to arrange a donation pick up or drop off.
Our goal is to bring the donations to Good Samaritan on September 30th to distribute directly to those in need.
About Oxford House:
Oxford House is the largest network of recovery homes in the world! Since 1975, Oxford House has been a safe place for men and women; recovering from substance use disorder; to rebuild their lives. In Tennessee, there are over 160 peer-run Oxford Houses, home to over 1,000 persons in recovery.
Since Oxford Houses are peer-run, our members know that service keeps us sober! We are grateful for another year to participate on Mobilize Recovery's Day of Service.
