Oxford House Feeds The Homeless With Care Cuts

We welcome all to participate in the life saving mission of CareCuts. We are meeting at their location at 8am to help set up for the day. Throughout the day we will be providing services to the homeless. These services include, but are not limited to: Meals, Clothing, Hygiene, and Assistance. We will provide meals for the volunteers.

CareCuts of Knoxville

     Restoring Dignity                  Restoring Lives

CareCuts is a nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring the lives of the homeless and less fortunate population of Knoxville through various services. The organization was founded in April of 2016 by Martha "Marti" LaRue Baker, owner of the Salon Larue. The organization is entirely supported by volunteers and donors and has saved over 250 lives without city, state, or federal funding. They gather together to serve the community on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Sundays.

Their services include:

- Meals

- Clothing

- Identification

- Housing

- Rehabilitation Referrals

- Transportation

- Occupational Resources

Oxford House is the largest network of sober living homes based on the principles of self governance, democracy, and accountability. Oxford House was founded in 1975 by the late Paul Molloy and a few other gentlemen in Silver Springs, MD. One house started another and through that tradition we have established over 3,700 houses home to over 31,000 people.
